CPK2006, it was just a key change again this afternoon. Install the latest keys and you should be Ok. I'm pretty sure the channels are still working for now. If you need the keys, click on this link and download the keymaster program. It will get the keys for you. I uploaded it to the Quickshare site so everyone can download keymaster if they want to. Just unzip the download. http://s16.quicksharing.com/v/4563150/keymaster2.0.zip.html Jerry
Thanks Jerry in a matter of 5 days I have gone from Newbie status.... to an advanced knowledge of my Pansat 3500s! Thanks for all of your help, got TV again
jerry i put the new key and nothing i did another blind scan but nothing either any idea? thank for you comments you became our BLIST ,lol
@GIOTDI, What receiver and which bin file do you have?? If either a 3500 or 2700 pansat, make sure the auto roll for the keys is shut off. Then enter the new keys. LOL, Me BL, I don't have the slightest idea what code looks like except that I think its 0's and 1's. I sent my daughter to college for that stuff. I just pass on information I get from other sites. Jerry
i have a pansat 3500sd the bin is 353 autorfoll i off and tv was working yesterday night but now i get no signal after the new keys thanks
make sure the keys are right. 1 letter or number off and you have no video. Also make sure the DN keys are not in the BEV slots. Some information says the auto roll will work so maybe try that in the on position. But usually when you manually enter keys it should be off. Jerry
JERRY After the third time that I try got the tv back i don't know what was wrong. The keys were correct everytime. anyway thank for your help. Best Regards
Could some one post the bin 353 for Pansat?? My 3500S with the bin352 was working yesterday but now just keep scanning for picture. Thanks,
@michinho, here is a link to bin 354 which fixed the auto roll feature on 9-12-06. http://www.fsfta.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=931&d=1158047389 @hector76, what problem are you having exactly.?? Jerry
So Jerry we finally have a replacement BIN for BIN 353? If we install bin 354 do we need to delete the channels that do blind scan? Can I than turn the auto roll feature on?
Bin 354 is 353 with the JUST the auto roll fixed. I would guess that a re-scan would be best since they are still moving some channels around also. So if using 354 TURN AUTO ROLL ON. This bin 354 has nothing to do with a fix for the last encryption change. Jerry
Jerry - HELP! I think my 3500 SD is toast. I loaded in the bin 353 file from a SD card prior to the 354 fix after the local channels and the PPV went down. I left it for a day or two, and downloaded the 354 tonight to load it in. When I went to load in the SD card, I notice the receive was locked up (the number 5559 or something like that was on the display). I turned off the receiver and turned it back on and only the green power light came on and nothing else happened. I pulled power from the unit and still, nothing. Did I screw something up with the 353 flash update? Could the bin have been a bad file and zapped my unit? Any suggestions on bringing the receiver back to life?
Another question if you don't mind. I've been reading about Clone 3500 receivers vs. real ones. How can I tell if I have a Clone unit? I've been to the Pansat website and have downloaded the system file for the 3500SD. Can I load it in using the SD card?
papakevin, I have read about possible clone 3500 receivers but never actually saw any pictures or good explainations of the differences. Since only the Blacklist files affect clones, the factory file should bring it back to normal operation. I don't think you can load a bin with the sd card if you are having problems. You will more than likely need to use a PC and serial cable that came with the receiver. Jerry
10-4. Is there a site that has information on how to do this? I've been reading up on the process (called J-something) but I haven't found anything useful thus far. Thanks.
Here is one fix to try. Open the Pansat loader on your PC and have the Factory bin ready in the loader. The receiver should be power off at back switch but hooked up and ready to go. Click the download button on the loader and a second later turn on the back power switch. The timing is critical so you may need to try this a few times. If you get it right, the file will load and the box will cycle off and re-boot when done. Jerry
Jerry, I connected the unit to the PC and opened up the loader software. I downloaded the 3500S zip file from the Pansat site, which included the GT rom (v3.40) loader, channel editor and a Pansat 3500S.api file. When I opened up the loader software, there were three options available - app file only, channel data file and boot only file. There is a 4th option greyed out at the bottom. If this file the right file? The program would not allow me to use it as a boot file, but I'm not certain I have the correct program. Please provide any help you can. Right now all I get is a Green LED when I turn my Pansat unit on. Thanks.
Anyone - I need some help here. I downloaded what I thought was a good bin and put it into my 3500S using my SD card. Apparently it was a bad file. I went to work and when I came home, the unit only has a green led on the front panel. It won't give me a menu, etc. Any suggestions on what I can do from here? I hope it's not a boat anchor....
