I'm trying to install a par2 check/repair program on a linux server running Fedora 4 but having difficulties... Could someone recommend a good client with basic details on how to install and use it please? (I'm a complete linux n00b lol)

    Cheers! :D

I guess it depends how much you want to stick with Linux programs.

If you have the parchive package installed then you just type this in the folder with the Par2 files in a terminal window :

    par2 r filename.par2

Here is the RPM if you don't have it
    http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/3/srodzaj/2/search/parchive-1.1-4.src.rpm

The other way is to install quickpar (Windows software) and use it under wine, it actually works fine as that is the way I do it.

    Hope this helps.
