    hi all
i have an aftron dvd-player, i tried to play a dvd (the terminal - a backup i made using DVDXCopy on a TDK DVD-R) using it, it asks for the parental control password... as i enter it it shows "bad disk"... it works fine on my computer and it wont ask for a password using powerdvd with no problems at all. what could be the problems... also i have another dvd that won't be recognized nor explored on the computer but it works well on the dvd player!

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that a friend of mine had the same problem but her kids changed a setting and it works fine now with backed up DVD's.

The bad news is, I can't get ahold of her until next thursday to find out exactly what her kids did.

It is in the setup of your DVD player so I would re-read the instructions.

    Good luck

I'll try and remember. Also, reply if you do re-read your manual and get it to work. Let me know what it took also for future reference.

    okay i got it!
the parental control level was set to 8, i changed it to 1, when i played the movie it showed parental control set to 4 :)S) enter password. i entered it and it worked...i searched a bt and found out that 8 is the most restriceted level while 1 is the least... and u cannot play a movie which is higher than the set level!
