I couldn't agree more and do so every chance I get. Although not as far back as WW2 I recently had the opprtunity to listen to a man tell me about his two tours as a tunnel rat in Vietnam and the effect they had on him. It was a very chilling story to listen to and I was near silent the whole time.
So true! I once worked with an african american guy in his 70s. He was actually at Pearl Harbor durring the attack. What an amazing story that was!
