Hey gang! I place the disk in the cd-rom, but the computer won't recognize or bring up the option to play. All it does is continue to physically play in the cd-rom. Any ideas? Thanks ya'll.

    pepzanadu,
Is this a commercial DVD or a backup one?

It looks like the original DVD. I rented it at Blockbuster if that helps. It plays on my DVD player just fine.

If you can, try playing it in a different PC. It's possible that the disc is damaged.

    pepzanadu,

Try this: Load DVD in drive. Click Start> My Computer> R/click the drive the movie is in> Select Autoplay> The Autoplay Window appears> Select on the player you want to perform this action> Click OK. Movie should begin playing.

Download Nero CD-DVD Speed. Unzip and open program. Load CD-DVD. Select the drive were the DVD is located. Select the Scan Disc tab. Click start. This utility will test the DVD.

    Hope this helps...

Finally got it to work. Had to open up the program that would play it first, then insert the DVD. Thanks Quikdraw!
