Last night I received a message saying that spyware had gotten on to my computer, so I ran my antivirus/spyware program to get rid of it. After the scan was 100%, my computer automatically shut down and now every time I turn it on, it just freezes up at the blue "Windows is starting up" screen. It's never just shut down after the scan! I'm using Windows XP Home on a Compaq Presario 5405US (I know, old pc).

Also, I've already tried to run the XP cd to repair it. That let me in for a little while and then it shut back down.

    [bold]Nevermind....figured it out![/bold]
