Man I'm running slow today. NICE find there Sammy and it wasn't so far away. lol. I've heard good things about the Black Dragon modules, it may have come from Shaaf.... can't remember the source but it was someone at AD IIRC. ;) Anyway... $39 w/o a MIR is a great find.

I got some of these a while back but haven't had the time to mess with them yet. Work, kiddies, and other interests have kept me from some serious computer time.

They do have red LEDs, hence why I chose them :p
But yeah, they're Shaff's RAM, and they seem to perform pretty well.

RAM doesn't run THAT hot unless you use four adjacent sticks.

Heh, what do you reckon - the release of the WD20EADS pushed it down? Seems hardly relevant, the price of the WD20EADS is extortionate...

I doubt it, but as you know all computer parts come down in price sooner or later, and usually sooner.

    True, but the least I can get a WD10EACS delivered for is £78, and £89 for a WD10EADS. It's £262 for a WD20EADS... :O

Those prices are outrageous, I guess due to your VAT.

Yeah. Don't forget, the exchange rate with us and the USA has plummeted. A few months back, £78 would be $160. Now, it's not even $110. Also bear in mind we pay a large amount in delivery costs as we get Next working day delivery from most stores due to the reduced distance. One store in particular managed only 11 1/2 hours from clicking order to it being signed for, I ordered at 9:40pm and it arrived at 9:15am the next day. Amazing service.

Forgot about the exchange rate, but why are delivery costs high, since, as you mentioned, reduced distance.

Basically, every delivery is an 'express next day' courier. Not all shops allow customisation of delivery time. Ebuyer, the store I mentioned for the 12 hour delivery time, does. It costs £10 for next working day (or sometimes, saturday) delivery, £7 for within 2 working days, £5 for 3 working days, and a little less for within a week - up to a few kg. Free delivery for orders over £50 as long as you use 'within a week' - though that week apparently turns out to be usually a few days.
Most other shops, it's just £8 to £12 for next working day, that's it.
Some shops, and pretty much any ebay seller, allow normal Royal Mail postage (USPS I suppose to you), which can be as little as 80p for small items, but unlike courier deliveries, is not always recorded, and less often insured.

    Sam,
I guess I'm lucky because 90% of what I buy from Newegg, gets here the following day, UPS 3 day Ground!

Well, they're from California, and so are you (if I remember correctly, or near there), so that makes more sense.
