A few weeks one of my PC's started acting funny and turning off by itself. I checked the Power Options but it continues doing that. It stays on for 3 hours and then it shuts down.

    XP Prof

    Any ideas?

Ok my good geek friends. Nobody answered my dilema but I found the answer if any of you encounter this issue again:

    - Windows XP unexpectedly restarts when I am using my PC. Why is it doing this?

    - Windows XP will normally restart if an error occurs that would cause it to crash completely (stop responding) To prevent it from restarting, right click My Computer and click Properties. Select the Advanced Tab, click the Settings button for Startup and Recovery and clear the checkbox under System Failure captioned - Automatically Restart.

    Preety cool, ah?

If you find its still restarting at all, try going into the bios when you restart then check your cpu heat, your heatsink or fan might be loose
