I had to get a PCI card and I am wondering what port or drive do I need to disable before I can install? I tried without disabling anything and my PC wouldnt boot up. The card is a Jaton NVidia 248PCI DVI.

I have a crappy emachine, and the people at emachine/support were not much help. I disabled my onboard card and installed new one; however, when I try to boot my pc back it gets stuck on a "test" screen.

test screen is on the monitor, disable the onboard video by jumper or in bios by reading the manual
