photo to video

Is it possible to take an ipod photo and upgrade it so it can play movies? even if its more than firmware upgrade like a different hdd.

You can get videos on an iPod Nano or iPod Photo through iPod Linux.

Can you go to a lower generation then the ipod photo and still load linux and be able to play videos?

As long as the iPod can view photos then you can.

 

it's kind of risky..would suggest you don't try that if you don't care to restore you ipod and lose everything.

 

As long as all your songs are still in iTunes, you can update right after you restore.
