Well, I don't know what happened or what I did but when I opened the device manager to click trouble shoot I checked the channel and it is now in DMA mode. It is beyond me??? but maybe something fixed it self or something. I wish I could tell you what worked, but I can't. Thanks to everybody I really appreciate all your input, I will check out some of those background dvd programs for further decryption. ---zen-->
Somewhere down the line, you got it to kick back into DMA on. If I were you, I'd check it a couple of times over the next week, especially if you get a slowdown with a drive. It may have just been sticky getting back into DMA. Sometimes DMA has to be toggled off and then back on to get it to work. It can be a strange situation sometimes. Glad the setup straightened itself out for you. For the best of the retail decryption apps it's AnyDVD. http://www.slysoft.com/ and the best freeware is the DVDFab Decrypter. http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm/
