After purchasing a Cendyne(Pioneer 105) drive I had the same problem,I thought it was my machine or software only to find that after returning the Cendyne unit for a retail boxed Pioneer A05 it was a defective drive (it happens) after connecting the Pioneer it would see any media I fed it. Lucky for me my supply house was down the street so it wasn't much of a hassle, Good luck!
