Pioneer 112D????

    I have a couple of questions hopefully some1 can help.
    I want 2 get a Pioneer 112D but I need 2 know a couple of things 1st

    1.Is it compatible with my PC Don't know if motherbroad is IDE/SATA I have a IBM ThinkCentre Model-8187-A1U

    2.I need my DVD Burner 2 set the booktype 2 DVD-ROM on +DL Media will this drive do this? If so how? By external program or automatically?

    3.Lastly I want 2 try 2 install this myself can some1 direct me 2 a tutorial on how 2 do this? Perferably with pictures?

    I am not sure whether or not the 112D has book type capabilities, but I do know that the 111D didn't, and I don't think any Pioneer drive prior to the 111D did either.

    Have a look at Pioneer's website to see if the 112D does.

    pioneer 112d have auto book type on dvd+ media

    Here's a guide. Also, if and when you do get this new burner upgrade it to the most current firmware which is V121.

    No, it does not, at least not out of the box. It will do book type, if you flash it with the non-Pioneer Buffalo firmware.
