Need help for burning at 4x. I was told that there is a firmware update to raise record speed to 4x. I updated the firmware to version 2.0 but it is still writing at 2x. I am using media that has been tested in another computer to be 4x compatible. Also tested dvd write speed in nero. Is there anything I can do?
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Hmmmmmm...first I have heard of that...

The 103 latest firmware is at 2.0 and I have had a look at Pioneer and it seems there is no further firmware upgrades available to enable it to write at 4x.....

Unless there is a 'hacked' firmware available that will allow it to burn at 4x, but to my knowledge version 2.0 only enables 2x burning full stop....

I know this does not help, but I would therefore assume that the 103 can only burn at 2x maximum.....

I used to have one and I could only get 2x out of it with version 2.0......
