pioneer dixv 575a wont play mpeg-1 layer3

    i am a newbie
    i downloaded "walking tall" and the video and audio on computer play and sound great.in gspot audio codec shows mpeg-1layer3.
    when burned and played in pioneer 575a divx player ---no sound--help
    remember i'm a newbie so be very non technical please

    Strange. Usually that is the usual 'MP3 for AVI' format. This is a too technical answer, but you could extract the uncompressed WAV sound with VirtualDub (just open the file, select Video__Full Processing Mode and Fils__Save WAV) and re-encode to MP3 it with HeadAC3he. It's a little too hard, I imagine.
    Otherwise, convert that AVI into 1 (2 if movie > 80') MPEG-1 as explained in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 and watch the movie as VCD...
