    can some one help me.

I have the above DVD writer listed in the subject line and what I would like to know if some one can help me is, I have the firmware 1.14 installed and have downloaded the new available firmware from the Pioneer site which is 1.18 and I flash the drive ok and it says successful.

When I check it with nero info tool it says still 1.14

Can anyone tell why or why it doesnt show 1.18?

    Thanks for your advice

I have the same DVD and can't get it to be recognized. I installed it in a box to use as an external drive but I do not have a driver. Where did you find yours?
I installed the firmware form Pioneers site but have had no luck getting it to work.
    I need the proper driver.

Did you check the Nero site for updates?

to update the DVD 108 try to delete the 1.14
version first then install the 1.18 version and see
    if that doesn't help

I thought once u updated your firmware u couldn't go backwards as ur actually flashing the drive. Going forwards seems to be ok but back I don't think u can.

Anyway, if there's some one out there that can enlighten us we will sure be appreciated.

    Cheers
