Plans to build my 1st Pc

    Plan on doing my 1st build.....nothing to crazy. Im not much into pc gaming but would like to have the option to if I feel like it. Here is what I was plan on using....will everything be compatible?

    DVD: SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner SATA Model SH-222BB/BEBE

    Case: COOLER MASTER HAF 912

    HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB

    GPU: EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16

    PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC

    RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

    MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

    CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K

    trying to stay at a low price(under 800)

    Any suggestion?

    Everything seems to be correct for the build except for the GPU. It's a PCI Express 2.0 x16, and your Motherboard supports PCI Express 3.0 x16, so maybe find a GPU that has Express 3.0.

    Other then that, I don't see you running into any problems with gaming, and just doing regular tasks!

    Compatible, yes. Do check on the 3.0 pci-e vid cards, to see what you can find. That GPU is fine though.
