Hey guys My Yamada player has just died after 5 years of faithful service, so am in the market for a new player, but must be cheap....around £40 I have a hd tv to connect it to so would like one with hdmi port, also i want to play xvid/divx/mpeg4 etc been looking round and seen some that seem to fit the bill but get mixed reviews. your advice is appreciated
You can try amazon, they have a good selection of dvd players - check out the reviews or alternatively check out my sig
Try this great little player, here is the link for it: $69 - Digix 8 Inch Swivel Screen Portable DVD Player at http://www.mertado.com/digix-8-inch-portable-dvd-player.html
Get a DVD upconverter. Toshiba xde has dropped down in price a bit. You can find other good models from Pioneer, Sony, Panasonic, and Samsung.
Maybe a bit above your price range, but this would be a player that supports tons of formats: http://the-gadgeteer.com/2008/12/08/wd_tv_hd_media_player_review/
That player looks very nice and useful. I always have tons of .mkv files that I have to convert to DVD to play. I wouldn't mind picking one of these up on Boxing Day myself.
i had a digitrex dvd player years ago and that worked fine i payed $aus40 for it new.i got a philips now with a usb drive and it plays divx aswell but that was a gift and i think it was expensive.audiosonic seem to work ok and there cheap.
