Playing AVI Files

    Everytime I try to play a movie on my computer, whether it be a avi, mpg or whatever, no matter which program it is, it always says "DivX Player Has Performed an Illegal Operation" or Window's Media Player has Performed an Illegal operation.

    Why does this happen and how can I get it fixed so i can watch some of my movies.\

    Try downloading & installing all the latest media codec packs from microsoft. If that doesn't help then I'm sorry but I have no idea what might cause this.
