    Please can someone help!
I have lovingly recorded 7 mini DVDs worth of family video using my camcorder, finalised them successfully and then tried to play them in my normal DVD played and they won't play. What am I doing wrong?

by miniDVD you mean small disc (3inch not 5inch)?

i ask because there is a disk format called miniDVD where you record standard DVD files on to a CD, that never really took of - these do not play back on older DVD players

do your discs play back on the camcorder? do they play back on a PC?

    Hi there

Yes I mean 3 inch little DVDs.

And yes, they do (thankfully!) play back on my camcorder - just my actual DVD player that I can't seem to get them to work on

Any help greatly appreciated as I am completely untechnically minded!

next question - got any mates with DVD players they do play on?

try some DVD recorders if you kno any one with em

my first thought is that event if the camcorder is saying its closing / finalising the disc, it may not be...

another possible, tho unlikley - maybe your DVD player dont like the DVD-+R's you are using..

its possibly because the format it is recroded in is not accepted by your dvd player?
usually, camcorders use dvdram i think.
your camcorder probably records in mp4?
give me the model and make of your camcorder, and i will help you to play it on your dvd player, you might have to re-encode it too
