I don't know what the hell mmpy was talking about "Dum question. What does it means to patch" nobody asked that but anyway I can play the pal games i got swap magic I was jus trying to get the screen moved up like 1 inch but its not possible?
I can't get Star Wars Battlefront to work properly with the patches. Any one I use the screen just rolls. Is there anything I could do to fix it?
As in the first post. Star Wars: Battlefront - Use PAL TO NTSC PATCHER WITH Y-FIX V1.06 BETA with Y-fix offset of 48. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Also use the magiciso to open the iso or bin/cue file. See one of the following file existing SLES_###.## - PAL SCES_###.## - PAL Then apply patch and burn the iso. Also make sure you got modchip in your ps2.
watkins86: "dum question" refered to my question. I was asking the dum question. Sorry if my ignorance disturbed you. Also sorry for my english. I still can´t play Need for Speed Underground 2. The disk is somehow protected. What can i do?
Used Y-fix v1.06 to patch Ford Mustang racing. After the patching was done, a box popped up stating "the size of the elf file was changed! If you are building a new Ps2 cd/dvd image you must update the ".iml, *.ims files to reflect the new elf size. If the patched elf is to be inserted into an already built *.bin ps2 image plase do not forget to regenerate the corrupted sectors after inserting eh elf." Any suggestions?
I live in Japan and have a Japanese slimline PS2,I bought Swap Magic v3.6 recently and have a PAL copy of World Rally Championship 4 which I understand from previous posts, cant be patched with either ADR or the Ps2 PAL to NTSC patcher so....is it possible to use a PAL to NTSC video converter as advertised in a post, to play a PAL copy on a NTSC system through a NTSC TV in colour and of course without the rolls?? Hope this is not too confusing. Cheers Cookie
Hi again, another question. Is Gran Turismo 4 (PAL version) patchable with any of the availble PAL to NTSC fixes? Thanks
pretty sure its not really worth it to patch pal games to ntsc cause you will always be missing part of the screen because the tv's have different resolution or whatever
Im from New Zealand but live in Japan.I downloaded some games in Pal format and need to play them on a NTSC tv hence the need to reformat them...Cheers
gotcha i just think your better off only getting ntsc games unless you plan on buying that pal/ntsc converter chord
Cheers, will bear that in mind, seems a bit of a hassle to patch it and still have some of the screen missing...
Great post. I tried the pal to ntsc patcher to patch fifa 2006,(i rebuild the game). load the game by cogswap and it looked like it was going to load but the black screen just hanged! ive burned the pal iso, and the game works but its B&W, with the screen a little off center. ima try the other patcher, keep you guys posted.
