Could someone answer these questions about Colin McRae Rally 2005?

    1) Does it have a 50/60h selector?

    2) Does it work with Swap Magic 3.3 in NTSC mode?

    3) Does it have a screen centering option?

    Thanks.

How does the game run when patched with ADR and forced to NTSC mode with Swap Magic? I had heard somewhere on this thread that by using a certain patcher, the game ran slower than normal. Is this the case with ADR and Swap Magic. Also, can the screen be perfectly centered using the game's screen adjustment, and what value should be used?

    Jsch1305,

u cant just run a burned/copied game in your ps2 without modification..so yes u need to add some kind of hardware in order to play the game..u can choose a modchip that is installed on the ps2 motherboard wich directboot all the game..or if u r cheap or dont want to install a chip, u can choose the swap magic disc...but u must swap between that disc and the game disc each time u wanna play..but u cannot run burned games just like that..sony is smart u know..the only way to play non original games without mod is to press them with the machine that companies uses to make lots of copies of the game..but the machine cost around 20,000$ and u can only get it in china i think....

So if I get a copy of swap magic, I can play the original, but not an exact burned copy of the cd; such as outlined with DVD Express at the begining of the thread.

I have a question that maybe someone can answer. I am trying to backup Rampage total destruction. I have an ISO file that is PAL and about 4.31GB in size. I patched this ISO using Y-fix and then burned it using DVD decrypter. The game plays okay, but the load times are terribly long. It is my experience that re-building the game helps out with this.

I re-built the game using isobuster and CD DVDrom generator and came up with a new ISO that was around 1.2GB. (normally I use apache instead of isobuster, but for some reason Apache won't open this PAL iso).

Anyways, my question is this, should I patch this re-built ISO using Y-fix and then burn or should I patch the original ISO first, and then go through the steps of rebuilding with isobuster and cd dvdgenerator? I wanted to ask here first because I have been burning alot of coasters lately and these Taiyo discs aren't cheap.

One more question, when I rebuild using CD DVD generator, should I put the SCES number under disc name and use "Japan" as the license area?

Regarding Rampage Total Destruction PAL. I obtained this game and patched my backup of it but have not noticed any problem with long load times. Could be a media problem or just a bad burn.

On another note, it appears to be a multi-elf game. That is if you try to play the old original version(s) of rampage and rampage world tour which are included on disc, the game reverts back to PAL.

Probably the best thing is to find the NTSC version (which is available now) and not worry about patching the PAL version. I wish I would have waited and not wasted my $ on the import and wasting a disc making a backup!

    Jsch1305,

the only way to get a copy of swap magic disc, is by buying them...originaly...u cant download them and use it on the ps2..because its must be original in order to boot the disc then to swap the game...what it does is simply bypass the protection info of the game disc...u can get a copy at any site that sell modchip for the ps2...just google..price is between 20$ and 40$ depending of the site...

    sandpir8,
i burned it twice and got the same long load times. i don't think its the media or the burn, because i have burned around 60 games prior to this with the same media and have not had any issues. The question i have is basically can I rebuild the game and then use the yfix patch on the rebuild? Has anyone tried this?

    hi nark

i have the C64 emulator,it works for me,but i have uploaded, and i have been trying to convert it from pal to ntsc for someone
there is no sles/slus file with it that i can see
i load the image into the pal/ntsc patcher with y fix,but get the error message "illegal file type"
it was a mdf image i made with alcohol 120,

    EDIT

sorted it,...remade the image using cdrwin, which gave me the bin image i needed, then use the patcher
    seems ok

    any ideas?

I had already asked this question, but removed it from my earlier post, since nobody answered it.

I need to know this about the PAL version of Ferrari F355 Challenge, V-Rally 3, TOCA Race Driver 2, and TOCA Race Driver 3:

    1) If the game has a 50/60hz selector.

    2) If the game has screen centering.

    3) If the game will work with Swap Magic 3.3 in NTSC mode.

    4) If a patcher can be used to patch the game.
