Did you burn at 1x to high quality media (tdk, verbatim)?

Which release is it, DNL or Lightforce?

Why don't you get the usa release? It still has a lot of seeders.

I've never used dvd+rw or dvd-rw. I have used dvd+r and dvd-r and they work fine. My ps2 is v9 and is compatible with dvd+r media, anything below a v4 wont work with dvd+r media. Reading through the forums, not a lot of people have had success with dvd+rw or dvd-rw media. Your best bet is to stick to dvd-r. TDK dvd-r's have been the most reliable for me.

It might turn out that NFSU2 is not compatible with the pal to ntsc program. Try getting the USA Version.

Nrk, did you ever try to patch your copy of F1 '04?

By the way, thanks for all your effort in this thread. I think I'd go crazy trying to make sense of some of these people's typing.

I thought it was successful because of this screen.

    However, the game doesn't boot.

Tried to convert "V8 Supercar" from Pal to NTSC using the patch listed on the first page (I'm using the latest version of DVD Decrypter and it would only read/write MDS files) but my V10 PS2 (with Matrix mod) won't boot it (just a blank screen after the Matrix Infinity logo screen).

I have one question, where is the patched files located (because the patch program doesn't tell you), are they being written over the original ISO files?

    Thanks for any help.

You could try making and burning the iso with Alcohol 120%.

The program overwrites the iso file.

Just copy it as you would a normal game. Make the iso, burn the iso.

With San Andreas, you will need to use Professional grade blank dvd media. Try Verbatim or TDK.

nrk4594, i also tried the converter for NFSU2... it didn't work :(. Do u know where to find the NTSC version? It's weird that a lot of the bittorent sites only have the pal version... what is up with that?

Burned a copy with Alcohol 120% but it still won't boot, I just got a blank screen.

Do I really need to buy one of those PAL-NTSC converters for $50 so I can play 4 PAL games? :(

    anth4207,

    Check your PM

    toyfigure,

Some games can't be patched. When I run into that problem, I can still play the game because I use the DMS chip which has a feature to convert the signal to ntsc and center the screen.

Some games have an option to run in 60 hz (NTSC). Check the options menu on your games. Some game will ask you before the main menu if you want to run in 60 hz, and some, you have to select 60 hz in the options menu.

    hampage,

I burn most of my games at 4x to Ridata. The only game that hasn't worked with Ridata was San Andreas. It works fine with TDK. I've never had any problems with TDK.

Ritek Ridata is Premium Grade Media.

The following brands are Professional Grade Media

    Maxell DVD-R Media
    Memorex DVD-R Media
    Mitsui DVD-R Media
    Panasonic DVD-R Media
    Pioneer DVD-R Media
    Taiyo Yuden DVD-R Media
    TDK DVD-R Media
    Verbatim DVD-R Media

In your situation, it could be the media, burn speed, or the fact that the game can't be patched.

the file I tried to burn was:

[[PS2]]-NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2 PAL MULTI5 FULLDVD

have you tried it if it works?

maybe the the problem is with the ISO...

because you said that ridata at 4x is not the problem. I have a NEC 411s

    hampage,

Get the USA Release. It sounds like the PAL release can't be patched.
