First of all what is the file extension of the "Massive file" extracted? There are alot of cd/dvd image file extensions. To check if it is indeed a DVDimage load it with daemontools poweriso alcohol120% isobuster, or any other ISO tool you got. Check the contents of your DVD if it contains the same files as your original. Be sure to burn the Image not burn data dvd (if using nero or other all-in-one (AIO) burning software)

What is the exact size of the "Massive file"? Anything over 4400+ MB (size on disk) would require DVD9 (8.5Gig) media. What burn software did you use? It should have alerted you that the media size is insufficient before it started to burn to the disk.

As for "converting" to ISO you can use UltraIso/PowerIso to convert it directly.

Or you can load the image in daemon tools, alcohol, power iso etc and use your AIO burner or dvdripping software (ex DVD Decrypter)to rip and create an ISO image of the file.

Or instead of burning to your DVD drive directly change the destination to Image Recorder and save it as ISO in your harddrive and then burn that ISO file

NOTE: it doesn't really matter if the file is NOT in ISO format just as long as it is a DVD image file and that your burner recognizes it as such

Please be more detailed next time. People who wants to help shouldn't have to go back to the first message to see where you got stuck. Posting screen caps would greatly help in determining where you went wrong.

As for the answer...Im not really sure I understand this line
"Write, the problem is the write button is blank and not black the browse buton upwards"

I'm assuming this is DVD decrypter and that you have chosen the dvd image as source and that you have placed a DVD-R/RW on your DVD drive. The Write button should now be enabled (clickable).

Make sure that the DVD R/RW is empty, you can see it at the right pane (I use ImgBurn for burning so I don't know if it's the same for DVD decrypter but they are made by the same person)

Make sure that the reported filesize of the dvdIMAGE is smaller than the size of the dvd-r/rw (both can be seen on the program)

If you have a widescreen TV, you can get one line of the lyrics to appear at the bottom of the screen with color and in sync if you use PAL NTSC v-fix....

Yes I think the Y-FIX V1.06 BETA requires the image to be in ISO format.
Anyway, if the imagefile you used in yfix is not supported the program will tell you that you can't patch it.

You said that it is not ISO, I'm asking what is the extension then? And it doesn't matter what kind of extension it has, if it is greater than 4400MB it won't fit into a DVDr disc. You should get DVD9s or try to compress it to fit into a dvd5 disc. You can find tutorials on that here just search for it

Thanks for everything. My point is exactly that where can I find a modchip for PAL Consoloe in NY if I can even find one here or not. But you are right,if I need to have a ModChip to get my EU games working again I should might as well just buy a Signal Converter modchip :( I hoped I can get trhough this without moneyspending. Not like we are poor or something, its just my sis bought me a new PC and a NTSC PS2 so I can get myself entertained for my first summer in NY if I ask some more,my chances of getting a PS3 for Xmas will dramatically decrease...

Well there's no avoiding shelling out money if you want to play backups either you buy a modchip or swapmagic. I would recommend modchips since swapping discs wear out the lens more. I believe that modchips doesnt really care about the region cuz its primary purpose is to bypass the ps2 mediacheck. The region converter is just an added bonus to some chips (my modchip doesnt have one, no menus no nothing just straight out plays the back up game).

But if you're going to get ps3 by december than just get the swapmagic it will cost about $20 less

I suggest you wait until the price of ps3 drops a couple more $100 and there are many titles on it before you buy. You don't wanna be the first to buy a defective model just like what some xbox360 owners are experiencing

I currently have a v7 w/DMS4+HDD, however I am unable to play a PAL copy of Silpheed without the skipping. Furthermore, I was trying to patch Manhunt with the pal2ntsc and although there appeared to be nothing wrong, the moment I pressed the x/start buttons, the game would freeze on me. Any ideas, other than getting an NTSC copy? Btw, I've yet to try the ADR patcher, because I don't know where to find it. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

After about 7 months, I have finally updated the list of games. I'm still working on the format of the first post, so bare with me.

If you can add or correct any info contained in the first post, feel free to post the info here, and I'll edit the first post.

When submitting new titles, please use this format:

    If it has a selector
    Game - Hitman: Blood Money
    ELF File - SLES_530.28
    PAL/NTSC Selector - YES
How to access Selector - After the memory card check screen, select NTSC(60Hz)
Y-Fix Patcher - No need to patch, it has a selector.
    Offset - N/A
ADR - No need to patch, it has a selector.
Screen Adjustment in game - No

If it works with the Y-Fix patcher
    Game - Madden NFL 08
    ELF File - SLES 548.12
    PAL/NTSC Selector - No
How to access Selector - N/A
    Y-Fix Patcher - Yes
    Offset - 48

Screen Adjustment in game - No

If it works with the ADR Patcher only

    PAL/NTSC Selector - No
How to access Selector - N/A
    Y-Fix Patcher - No

Ok, I've patched my copy of FFX - PAL, and it's burning now. However, I do have one question. I use flip top with Swap Magic, and I was wondering the propper way to boot this game? Do I select the PAL option under video, or NTSC? Or do I just leave it normal? Thanks in advance, this patcher is a big help!

    from the faq

Boot a copy of Swap Magic 3. After it loads, eject it. Insert the PAL game. Let it read the new TOC. Select NTSC on screen, then press the SQUARE BUTTON for special boot

Game - Armored Core: Nine Breaker
    ELF File - dunno
    PAL/NTSC Selector - YES
How to access Selector - After the memory card check screen, select NTSC(60Hz)
Y-Fix Patcher - No need to patch, it has a selector.
    Offset - N/A
ADR - No need to patch, it has a selector.
Screen Adjustment in game - No

PD: I've applied the ADR patcher first, 'cause I didn't know it had a selector..so i guess that without applying the patch, the pal/ntsc selector will appear.

Game - Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2
    ELF File - dunno
    PAL/NTSC Selector - No
How to access Selector - N/A
    Y-Fix Patcher - No
    Offset - N/A
    ADR - Yes
Screen Adjustment in game - Yes

PD: I didn't try it with the Y-Fix, because i applied the ADR first and it worked...the screen is a bit down, but you can adjust it in the options menu..anyway you can't see the full screen, a bit of the lower part of the screen is off sight...perhaps with the Y-Fix you get a better result.

    Offset - 48
    ADR - N/A (Use Y-Fix Patcher)
Screen Adjustment in game - No

PD: Don't know why...but the game has a sound delay during the game movies.

    Game - Spiderman 3
    ELF File -
    PAL/NTSC Selector - No
How to access Selector - N/A
    Y-Fix Patcher - Yes
    Offset - 48

Screen Adjustment in game - No

    PD: Works great.

Well, another game that worked with the Y-Fix patcher and 48 of yfix, its Final Fantasy VII Digest Of Cerberus. the game has the Screen Adjustment selector, so u will be able to play this game with no problem, to acces the screen adjustmnt just start the new game and the screen will show to choose ur options ;)

is there a new program out there besides pal2ntsc yfix patcher and adr patcher that does the job better or perfectly?

maybe the best solution is to have a tv with a ntsc/pal system so we can play all games whether its pal or ntsc...

we are all suffering from these tv standard BS..

What region are japanese games anyway? ntsc?
Also, i have fujifilm dvd+r dvd's. Can i write games on those?
I'm thinking of buying that pal/ntsc convertoer from chipzone, but if i download some games, and turn them into iso, can i use my current dvd (mentioned above) to write them so i can use it for ps2 gaming? thakns (p.s. i know i'd have to write each iso on a seperate dvd.

Coolkitz, the multi-system tv, which is used everywhere in the world except the americas does the job. It's just cause u.s. wants to have everything different (for some reason)
