No, that I know of. Am I supposed to to be able to do this? Sorry, I didn't notice that in the original thread. I got my PS2 in 2004, I think.
The PS2 checks to see if the disc is: 1)An orignal copy (not a dvd-r burn) 2)The same region as the machine (USA, PAL, JAPAN) Now, to play a copied disc, or a game from another region, you need to have a method to bypass these checks. This is done by either installing a modchip into the ps2, or using boot discs.
Hey, i tried ADR patcher(Ghost Recon) and ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix(Star Wars:Episode 3) but the games are not centred... i saw that ADR patcher can not be 100% centred. So i dont know if their is a solution on my problem but i'll be glad for little help.. my ps2 is ntsc and i have swap magic V3.6 thanks
hey man, how's it going? yeah, i've been meaning to say this, but didn't have time. i tried burning the swap magic, but it only either said the read screen + "please insert a valid ps2 format disk" or the cubes and stuff at the start up dissappeared, it was black screen for 2 min., then it went to white background + memory card screen. BTW, the disk never loads (donno why). Any ideas?
Hey guys, Anyone has tried PES 2008 which was released today in PAL version.. I was wondering if it has a 50/60Hz option or not? Thank you for your consideration KmZ
Hi nrk494. I have a problem with the PAL version of Champions Return to Arms. I tried with PAL2NTSC with y-fix by jayteemaster but it didn't work. The game starts with the ps2 logo as usual but after it there a white line that bounces and nothing happens. So i tried with ADR Patcher but the aspect ratio of the screen is not good. i don't see a part of the bottom. I also tried some codes with Gameshark v5 with the original PAL disc and it does the same as the ADR patched DVD. So now i really don't know what to do. I scrapped like 3 DVDs with the PAL2NTSC with y-fix program now x_x. Please i would be really grateful if you could help because i'm desperate.
How do i patch the elf file and rebuild? And do i patch the elf and rebuild before doing the pal2ntsc(jayteemaster or adr patcher this time?) process or after? And could it work with the pal2ntsc program by jayteemaster with the elf patched and the image file rebuilt? Oh and just to be sure, it's the game's elf file you're talking about right?
Instead of patching the .iso, patch the sles/sces (elf) file. rebuild and burn http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/173020
damnit i just scapped another dvd thinking it was the .elf file x_x well thanks, i'll try again with that. i'll let you know how it turns out.
and another dvd scrapped x_x It didn't work. It does the same, white line bouncing after the ps2 logo and nothing happens. sigh, i'm desperate. Is there any other way?
I bought the game from England and i live in Canada and the game does not give me an option to choose between 50/60Hz, it tells me to insert a ps2 game from my region. Do i need a mod chip to run it? What do i have to do to get this option? Thanks to anyone who can answer!!!
