Hey people... i have just purchased a dvd writer of savastore.com, its the [bold]NEC ND3500A Dual Layer Int IDE Black 16x DVDRW +/- OEM[/bold]
anyway, i installed this on my computer... made it master, and my cd rw slave, and for some reason my computer doesnt recognise it as a dvd writer, it seems to think its a dvd-r... BUT, when i put in any kind of media into my drive, it changes, right before my eyes,... and says its a cd, then tells me it cant read the disc. This is really annoying me, coz its making it alot harder for me to write dvds, i have to use nero, or alcohol 120%, for some reason, these do recognise my dvd writer, so i know it is all installed into mny computer correctly. If these programs detect it, and windows dont,.. im confused, please can someone help? ( no drivers or cd etc came with it, its OEM )
    Thanks,.. please reply :))
