    hello all,

i am brand new to this whole thing. i have dowloaded decrypter and shrink, and have only just started using them.

to burn a basic copyrighted dvd to dvd-r using decrypter seems very easy, and im sure it is. but i am having a problam where after the dvd has been put onto the hard drivevia decrypter. i go to mode, write, then i go to open the file. in the guide it says the file i want is always the .dvd file, but the only ones that are coming up are the .iso file and a .mds file

why, and what the fusk is a .mds file keep coming up for??

am i doing something wrong, or is it something to do with the ASPI settings??? i have double checked evrything apart from this, but i dont know how to properly install a relavent aspi layer for winXP from the guide.

anybody, please tell me if i am being a thick knob or if i need to do something else etc.

Just use the mds file, the guide your using is either mismarked, or outdated.

    hi

yes use the .mds file! it will be fine although i have turned my .mds creation off as i dont burn dual layer yet! and you need it for layer break info on dual layer discs!

so i only use and load ISO but the creater says use .mds...

also all guides for dvd decrypter are here! very easy guides too!

    http://forum.dvddecrypter.com/index.php?showforum=4

and when burning you shouldnt need to choose a mds file or iso as dvd shrink will burn useing dvd decrypter when you set it in shrink! you will see this when you hit backup/full disc button!

    hello,

to the guys who helped me out before.

i tried just burning the .mds file, but the writer drive goes through the process and says its writing, but when its complete, i take the disc out to find its actually still blank!!!!

i burnt it through the decrypter menus. should i just open nero and select the .mds file from the hd and burn that??? ia thinking that this is an aspi problam.

how do you install adaptec on winXP after iv downloaded the adaptec file from this site. iv tried opening most files that come with it and nothing works.

very confused and a bit dazed too!!!

    ant help please!???!

    thanks anybody!!
