Hi, I've been trying to get this to work for the past 8 hours. I'm using evox and flashfxp. I, to my knowledge and reading the other faqs have set up my IP addresses and gateways correctly. however whenever i try connecting the connection always times out. it used to say unable to connect, no route to host, not sure what i did, but it doesn't say that anymore?? any help would be much appreciated. ciao
try starting over again following these steps: step 1 On xbox goto system utils > settings > network step 2 change settings to setup network : yes use static IP : yes ip : 192.168.0.3 subnetmask : 255.255.255.0 default gateway : 192.168.0.1 DNS 0.0.0.0 DNS 0.0.0.0 STEP 3 on your PC WIN 95/98/me right click *my network places* select *properties* then double click *internet protocol (TCP/IP)* then select *use following ip address* WIN XP right click *my network places* select *properties* then right click *local area connection* select *properties* then double click *internet protocol (TCP/IP)* then select *use following ip address* step 4 now insert following IP address : 192.168.0.1 Subnetmask : 255.255.255.0 default gateway : 192.168.0.1 when you have done this confirm all windows and restart your pc if necessary step 5 connect your network cable (crossover if direct pc > xbox) step 6 start flash fxp make a new connection insert following IP 192.168.0.3 USERNAME : xbox PASSWORD : xbox (if still default) click connect ** crossover cable should look the same at both ends except the greens and oranges should be reversed. cheers iggi

Do you have IE5+ installed? If not, you can download Flash's common control update: http://www.inicom.net/downloads/flashfxp/50comupd.exe
