Soon i am to be getting a new computer, just one problem...
What the hell should i get???

I'm currently down to a custom Gaming system from Vadim Computers
Or an Apple iMac, the 24inch 2.8Ghz Intel Extreme Processor...

My main problem is the graphics, is the ATI HD 2600 Pro as good as a Nvidia 8600?

The 8600 is better, but dont expect to run newer games on all high with it. The 8600 isnt the best out there, but it's a good budget card that offers Dx10.

I dont see why macs incorporate 8600s in their systems, they cant take advantage of DX10...

If you are buying a computer for gaming then you can forget about the mac. The HD3850/3870 are superior in every way to the nVidia 8600, so get one of those instead. If they don't offer it get the cheapest possible graphics solution instead then separately buy one of these cards an put it in there yourself.
