If your still freezing you'll need to shut down some processes in the system tray//That is what is running in the background//several obvious ones are displayed next to the time in the lower right corner///go down there and right click on one at a time and close///disable antivirus and security (those use pretty good amount of resources) try burning agin to hard drive if possible to avoid making coasters out of the discs

on one unit I worked on my buddy had so much spy and adware it was using over 32% of available resources
I run my ad-aware, and spy bot every day. I have no spyware. My system has had a lot downloaded to it, then uninstalled, and I went into the registry too and deleted left over stuff, but it's still half used up I closed out everything that was running in the back ground, but still froze. I'm about to give up on this thing.
So we can take a look and see whats happening, please post a failed Nero log from here Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.tx
Does anyone know the link where to go to Update the Drive Firmware for my Nero 6? Or the user support web site ? Also, I burn at 2x speed, but the blank DVD cd's I bought are 16x. Does that matter? or do I need 2x ones?
