    Hi,
Im new here and was wondering if anyone can help me.
I have been trying to burn 6 avi files onto a dvd as backup
Sounds simple but I keep getting a "invalid track info message"
I've tried updating my firmware and burning at 4X.
Im using some Fujifilm DVD-R disks.
    Any help would be appreciated

    heres my log:

maybe your ASPI layer is corrupted, try this, version 4.71 from here - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/aspi.cfm
then why did you burn at 8x? 9:43:44 PM #29 Phase 38 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1760
    Burn process failed at 8x (11,080 KB/s)

    turn on your DMA: http://my.afterdawn.com/alkohol/blog_entry.cfm/231/dmaissues

don't multissession! you're not using an RW disk so make sure it's a closed session!

although Prodisc media is Second Rate media I would only use MIJs (made in Japan).... and if you need to use a Taiwan disk then use Verbtatim! Those MIJs and Verbatim at top notch and the only ones that I let close to my burners!

if you are trying to convert your AVI files where is it in your Nero Log??? this can't be the full log showing NeroVision is being used! Why is this log incomplete? Can't seem to help you if you post the wrong Nero log.

You cannot just save AVI files to a DVD, they have to be converted and this is what Nero does.

Try updating your Nero from here, both packages

    Package 1:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    Package 2:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

    DMA is still off

Still using poor quality discs, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)

You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

this shows that at one point you had both Nero 6 and Nero 7 on the computer ..... I use Nero 6.6.0.18 (the most stablest version of 6)... and since you posted the Nero 6 logs I can only presume that you now have version 6 instead of version 7...... follow Gwendolyn's advise to update to 6.6.0.18 and follow how to do it here:

Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools :
    http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html
    http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html
then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot!

    install package one:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539

    then install package two:
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html

also your burner.... showing 2 different firmwares.......
    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1911
the first Nero log shows you have the up-to-date firmware for a Gateway computer...... then the second Nero log shows an older version of TS10! I'm confused to which Nero log came first and if the second log is the latest failed Nero log and you updated your firmware to an old version of your drive.... why didn't you update your drive to the latest version of TS12 found here: LINK
your Nero logs are confusing! don't know which came first and giving you advise on what to do is just mixing everything up..... what came first the chicken or the egg..... seems like you did plenty of updating and changing versions and different firmwares..... I hope you didn't damage your drive!

I guess you could burn the AVIs as a Data Disk ..... but unless you have an AVI player it wouldn't be playable in just any DVD player!

what make model computer, alot of tsst crop burners are faleing to burn dvds .they play cd and record cd but fail to burn dvd files or get to about 70 or so % and come up with error if it is a dell or hp laptop see if they can send u a replacement drive ,allso could be drm in the windows media center software .easy way to tell if its the buner is if it skips the sound while playing a burned dvd.

@IHoe, I only just noticed in the first log the member was using 7.7.5.1....2nd log back to 6.6.0.13 so it looks like they have uninstalled Nero 7, installed an older version of Nero 6 and updated their firmware.
