I have these .dts audio files. It's supposed to be an album but its just one big .dts file (which I've never seen before) and I want to unpak it (I guess) and put it in my music folder as an album.

It's jethro tull and black sabbath btw. :)

    ps. nice site.

I think DTS is digital surround sound which is found on some dvd films. Do you want to convert it to mp3.

They should be albums, black sabbath, paranoid for one.

I would like them to be mp3's but if they are video or not what I thought it was I'd prolly just delete it.

You can't unpack a DTS file? Have you scanned it for viruses yet?

I think dts files are also the 6 channel enhanced audio cd. The files you got where most likely made with dtsparser. If this is the case you should be able to convert with VLC Media Player. Will probably have to use streaming features.

VLC didnt work. It's prolly too much trouble but I'll give one more shot. This a a picture of the files I'm talking about.

Excellent work ripdox! I have a question though, does dts2wav split the parsed dts file into tracks or does it just create one large multi-channel wav?

Cool, I searched yesterday and come accross the same site. PeerGaurdian 2 didn't give me any trouble so I assumed it to be a valid site. I also downloaded just about every app they offered. They had some stuff I didn't even know I wanted...lol

Yea thats always an option. You could also try Jet Audio and Audacity if you don't want to spend any money. Has anyone tried using [bold]BeSweet[/bold]? I know it can manipulate DTS-Waves but I don't know about a parsed DTS file (or are they the same thing?).

Hey thanks Ripdox thats really great work. It's too bad that its basically a dud file after all the work you did. I managed, while looking for a replacement file for paranoid blacksabbath to find their entire discography in good ole fashioned mp3's lol.

I hate when uploaders get a bit too clever and make it difficult for the umm.... customer? lol.

For me I'm going to dump that aqualung file.:(

    thanks again ripdox.
