You Say That IPTV Is New Encryption, But Virgin Media Have Been Using IPTV Since Their On Demand Service Started, And That Is Most Certainly Not Encrypted With Anything Other Than Nagra 1... There Was Talk Of IPTV Outside Of Their Cable Network Reach(Via Broadband)...

"Virgin Media's IPTV offering was to provide nationwide coverage for Virgin Media services for those outside the reach of its cable network, and was set to launch in 2008."

But That's Not On The UK Cable Network...

But Even With The On Demand Service... If Someone Orders A Movie Or What Have You In My Area, I Can Watch That Program If I've Got That Channel Or If I Do A Scan At The Same Time The On Demand Channel Is Broadcast In My Area... I Know, Because I've Seen Them Pause, Rewind Etc... Now If I Understand What You Are Saying, They Are Going To Make All Broadcast Channels IPTV... Unless They Put Another Layer In, To Encrypt Them, Then You Could Scan Them, Just Like Any Other Channel Currently... Personally I Think Someone's Got Confused About IPTV... It Seems To Me, That It's A Way Of Virgin Media To Reach 100% Of The Population, Without The Cost Of Laying Expensive Fibre Cables, Ergo, Via Broadband... Hence Internet Protocol TV...
