PMA UPDATE Error

    OK, so i just got a new mobo and cpu. very nice btw. Sempron 3400+ with 1GB DDR RAM. Now i cannot seem to make a freakin video disc. i have used COnvertXtoDVD to make conversions to dvd format. everytime i use convertXtoDVD or Nero it errors out and says the disc is dirty PMA update. well i have the log from nero. anyone got any suggestions? ive lowered speeds and everything already..

    Nothing really wrong in the log but possibly the media you're using.
    It's made by Prodisc and not always that compatible w/ all drives.
    Did this same spindle of media wrong w/ this drive before you switched the mobo and cpu?
    Switch the media - look for Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

    well u know what it turned out to be. i got a disc/dvd drive cleaner that u ran and it brushed off the lense. after that it worked fine again! thanks for the help.

    i was starting to really get frustrated.

    and yeh before i switched mobo & cpu i had the same spindle of maxells :)
