Poor channel reception

    Am having some problems with channel reception,freezing/unfreezing.Using Eurovox max v 2008 model in newcastle co dublin area. Scanned using 6887 and got 95 channels some working ok others quite unwatchable

    check ur coaxial cable for trouble

    Have tried other coax cables and problem still persists,where do I go from here?

    do a search for scouser and he will tell you.

    Are you on true cable or MMDS, (aerial on your roof)?

    Hi Scouser,On Cable NT******** box worked no problem in mates house in dub 22.using same coax and even tried new ones to no avail.Any help appreciated

    I see you have already used this and as such have the frequencies stored from your mate's area, your area is slightly different.

    Do this:

    Press menu, config, clear data, clear channel data, press OK. If it asks for a pin use 1004.

    Exit back to installation, user installation. Press yellow button for powerscan, input 6887 as symbol rate, start of frequency range input 258.000 and end at 403.000. I am not 100% wheter you are true cable or are in fact communally feed from an MMDS transmitter, hence I have given you a range to cover both on N**.

    As I cannot see the cable coming into house i assume we are communally fed.
    Will try your suggestion and see whay happes.
