    Hi

I'm writing an 22GB BD-R Iso to a blu-ray BD-RE disc (Verbatim x2 rated) on an LG GWW-20L blu-ray writer using Nero Burning ROM (v8.2). The program correctly identifies the speed rating of the disc as x2 and claims to be writing at x2. However, the whole process takes over 90 minutes, which is twice as long as it should take. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Hi there & thanks for responding. That would be a good place to start if the drive were an IDE drive, however the LG GGW-H20L Bluray writer (sorry I typed an error in the model no. in my first post) is a SATA drive and therefore doesn't use DMA.

I have read one or two posts on the net of people getting only x1 write speed with all makes of BD-RE disc on this drive instead of the rated x2. I've tested BD-RE writes with Nero 8; Cyberlinks Power2Go and also CD/DVD Speed and they all write no faster than x1.

I think I will have get cross with LG.
