ok now i am not sure if i am even in the rite forum here but it is worth a shot i konw the question sounds stupid but is there any way to use a external hdd with a portable dvd player? as my portable dvd player has a usb port and can play divix and mp4 etc and i am not sure how to get those files on to it?
Someone may correct me here, but in my understanding there is no OS on the player so it does not know how to go to the HDD to find the files. When hooked to a computer with an OS it should recognize a hard drive but just HDD and player???? I don't think they can "talk" to one another without a third party.
