Hi, i'm trying to use CloneDVDmobile 1.0.5.2 to convert a movie into PSP MP4 format (tried using other formats with the same result).

I'm tring to create the store the output on HD first, then manually copy to PSP later.

However, when i proceed to the conversion, an error pop up immediately with the following message:

"the pipe has been closed, can't write the output drive"

it's weird because i have plenty of space available.

then i tried copy & paste the exact commandline it tries to execute, and then open a DOS window to execute. CloneDVDmobile is simply calling a DOS application in its app directory, called ffmpeg.exe.

when i execute the command in the DOS window, i get the following error:

    "memory allocation error. cygwin conflict"

What i think is happening here is that when ffmpeg.exe experience an error, CloneDVDmobile just display a generic error message that the pipe is closed.

so has anyone experienced this and have a solution? the app aborts before any conversion is done.

i did a search on cygwin in my system, i did find some older cygwin drivers used by other conversion programs...they are all named cygwin1.dll.
however, the other programs are not in the path and are not running/loaded, so i don't think they would cause any conflicts at all.

    can anyone help me pleezzee!!!
p.s. the movie i'm converting is already decrypted.

    thanks in advance.
    David

i think this clonedvd mobile is nice. i am using the trial version, BUT on certain movies the audio and video are out of sync on both pc and ipod. someone said it was the movie causing this, but i ran one of these problemed movies through another program and it worked fine, i would love to buy clone mobile, but is there a solution to fix this glitch? oh and the program that worked on the out of sync movie was the free software found here on after dawn, a little more complicated to use, but my movie was perfect.

I have a I-mate K-jam Windows Mobile 5 PDA phone. I have downloaded the Demo version of Clone DVD mobile.

It converter the file to the right aspect ratio and small size but it does not play on the device I have tried to copy it over using the MS active sync software and by removing the memory card from the device and copying it over but neither play I also tried to rename the file etc.

Is there something else that needs to be done to get this working. I would like to evaluate this fully over the next couple of day to make up my mind regarding purchase.

Has the Audio sync issue with Clone Mobile been fixed?

I tried the trial version about a month ago and was really impressed with the speed and video quality of the converted files and I was ready to purchase the program untill I watched the converted movies on my PC and PMP.
Huge problem was all my converted movies had the Audio out of Sync with the video making them totally useless to me.

I have tried a few other programs but they had jerky or choppy video
motion and good audio or Great Video and audio out of sync.
Anyone have a recommendation for a program that actually does audio and video correctly?

    Chronic-what-cles of Narnia - nope.
    The Truman Show - nope.

    Hit or miss...

I have had to stop using this program because of the audio sync problems on my IPod. I am using Nero Recode for the time being. I don't understand why it is taking so long for a patch to this problem. Slysoft's track record is very good so I am expecting this to be fixed. But...right now the program is a waste of money for me.

I agree, I have a copy of AnyDVD an it's great. Why is Slysoft
taking so long for a patch to this problem???
    Nero is good but slow!

The main problem I have is that the program was released way before it should have been.

I downloaded it a couple of months ago and never got a working copy without sync problems to time and evaluate.

When I asked, the company said that I could not install another evaluation copy to see if all the problems I reported were fixed, but that I'd have to download it on a different computer.

Am I missing something here? I download a trail, had severe problems which I reported, and my 30-day trial expired before the problem was solved. Am I supposed to buy it now on faith?

I'd suggest that SlySoft not relase any programs for evaluation until they really work. And, get more beta testers to keep them from damaging their reputation by releasing non-functional programs for purchase.

I emailed Slysoft and they say they are looking into it. That was last week. Still no patch. Is
anyone having any success, audio wise, with this program?

Just for the heck of it I converted Two For The Money to IPod Video format. Exact same audio
problem. This program seems to be more Beta then I would have expected. When I purchased
AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 they must have been mature software as they had been out for
awhile. Did people have problems with these programs in their initial release or is Mobile
unique? Anyway I feel like the money spent so far was not good money. This problem has
been around for awhile with Mobile rev'd a couple of times. None of the rev's have addressed
the audio sync problem. Each day I check for an update and it does not come. When oh when
    will it come.....

Is this program in limbo? There have been several updates to both ANYDVD and CloneDVD but nothing for Mobile. The sync problem is well known. When can we expect an update?

I did a search and it appears that I am the first to post this, but if I am wrong I apologize. I am using this on an Ipod and an Archos 420. The problem is with the 420, I get a perfect movie out to 60 minutes and then the file ends. The converted file on the pc is great, but when copied to the archos, i can only get 60 minutes. Anyone have any ideas why this is? I have tried a bunch of different profiles, archos, divx and settings (bit, resolution, interlaced) and nothing...still the same problem. ANyone have a clue what I need to do to get this to play on my 420?
    THanks in advance.

I have an epson p2000 and the non beat version encoded well but had a significant audio lag. I have now installed the 1.1.0.2 beta and am getting no audio at all. Any idea's?

This app seems to be exactly what I want/need but am about to have my trial expire. Not sure I am willing to spend the money without a working version. I leave on a trip in about a month and would love to have several movies to watch while I travel.

    Thanks
