    did a little playing around with the read speed on the scan test. ive done it a few different ways. this one here i did at max speed 16x. (actualy speed was 16.3x)not a bad scan for the speed just like on the scan from CDfreaks with the new 20x A3P drive. granted i cant go that fast but it is as fast as my 18x will go. same type of result gets to the end and goes through the roof..

    Needed to add a couple for hobbit. :)

    Burned with Lite-on LH-18A1P @16X
    SmartBurn: on
    eos: on
    TYG03 "value line"
    hub code: GH000125
    link to scan

    Burned with Samsung SH-S203B @16X
    TYG03 "value line"
    hub code: GH000125
    link to scan

    I think these turned out pretty good. I need to hook the LH-20A1S back up hobbit so we can have accurate "comparisons"...lol I'll do another burn at 12X on the LH-18A1P just for poo-poo's and ha-ha's. :D

    ...gm

    edit:
    To add scan
    burned with Lite-on LH-18A1P @12X
    same settings....
    link to scan

    ok guys ive learnd some more about thecd/dvd speed program..
    dont know if you all know it but you can burn with it.when you burn with it on the QC test it will show your write speed. the only thing is you have to rip the movie in a ISO format and burn from that. now to the scans i did alot but will only post a few..

    this firstone is the actual disc being burnt.i had it set to burn at 18x it got as high at 16.63 but half way through it dropped down to 8x and finfished that speed.
    http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/Cincrob/createdisc.png

    this is the QC test got a good score for the burn speed.i did this speed test at the max speed also.
    http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/Cincrob/max-1.png
    same disc but i ran the speed at 4x for the test.

    burning with this program is pretty damn easy as long as ya have a ISO.just click on the create disc tab. then over to the right in the sttings feild click on burn image,pick the path to the movie set speed ya want it burned as then hit start. bout 5 mins later your doing the test...lol

    @cincyrob,

    I knew it would burn but I thought it just burned it's own test image, I didn't know you could select your own!

    @all,

    Here's my latest test with the TY TG03 Valuelines, burned with the "different" version of shrink:

    http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s102/hobbit112/Terminal20a1s16xTY16xBurn4xScan.png

    @gm,
    I know what you'll say about this burn, you eternal optimist; "You're only 2 peaks away from a 95."! :D LOL

    @hobbit
    yes when you click on the burn image tab. it will open a window for you to choose a iso from your hard drive. then it will burn it. i have just done about 5 disc this way.

    and if i may repeat something that the great docTY told me... the -r's will get a little lower score on the scan test compared to the +r's

    so id say you got a good scan there...

    I just did one and am finishing up the scans. First impression is that Speed didn't burn as well as Imgburn, maybe it also has to "learn" the media??

    I'll update this post with the scans when available.

    Here's the burn graph:

    Here's the Disk Quality graph:

    and here's the Benchmark graph:

    @greensman
    notice something missing from that scan with the 4.8.20??? jitter test...
    i did 4 scan and made sure the jitter was on and it never showed. and i did the test at 4 different speeds to see if it would show up. and on the benchmark test once it is done the graph is wiped clean dont give ya enough time to save it. not to sure if it is a legit release from nero. ????lol
    got another box set for mom in law to do. the waltons 5 season. 5 disc 2 sided(not dl) so ill have 10 disc to scan and test..lol will have some post shortly...

    cincyrob it does a jitter test but you must go into advanced settings and "tick" the dvd jitter test box. ;)

    I created a disc with cd/dvd speed and here's the results.

    burner: LG GSA-H62N CL00
    speed: 12X
    MID: MCC 004 (CMC)
    scanner: LiteOn LH-18A1P @ 8X

    create disc scan

    stat scan

    QS scan

    I'm not sure on the validity of the version noted here (4.8.2.0) but it works ok. I'll give the OFFICIAL version a whirl and see what happens. :) As you've noticed since I d/l version 4.7.7.3 I haven't had the DATE or TITLE show. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening. NO I haven't looked yet but thought someone might have a quick answer. :D

    now with the 5.7.7.3 i dont remember if i had the date and movie name or not. it just kept eraseing the info right after the test so i stoped useing that one and went back to 4.7.5.0. i really like that one.. as for the jitter test on the 4.8.2.0 i went into the advanced setting and ticked the jitter test and nothing ever happened. tried 4 different time and 4 different speeds??? HMMMMMMMMM.

    doing a scan of the first disc out of that box set with the 4.7.7.5 will have the scan up when its done.

    Here is the scan of the first disc with 4.7.7.5. i used clonedvd2 to burn this one then used the scan test.
    http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/Cincrob/waltonsd1a.png
    check out those PIE's lol not bad on the PIF's

    i didnt scan the second disc(other side of disc1)
    but here is the scan of disc2 side 1. i used clonedvd2 to rip this as a ISO and used nero4.7.7.5 to creat disc adn burnt at 12x and it did go up to 12.10x i did a defrag on both HDD cleanup and run ccleaner and blew out the old tower..lol it did get to the set max speed on this on and didnt drop down to 8x speed.

    http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/Cincrob/wald2sa.png
    here is the QC test.
    http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/Cincrob/wal2daqc.png
    higher PIE's and PIF's
    this is ripped to HDD then burn'd. i still like doing them on the fly disc to disc. as the above disc was done...
