    The MBI was iffy at the 84% but played fine. The spike must have been in a dead spot in the movie. I've had others with a similar spike to either skip or pixelate.

    All the rest played fine, as you'd expect for a scan in the 90's.

    So probably wouldn't recommend data backups, but movies are all good ;)

    Here's a little checkup on my one remaining samsung drive. The other I don't trust anymore. It started causing compatibility issues, as well as high jitter and ripping issues(Time to stick with lite-on). It's going into an HTPC for a simply Reading drive. Basically it just dropped to ß!tch class! This isn't loooking to bad for jitter. Which is what I was after. Im use to seeing low failures from the samsung drives, but that doesn't always mean a perfect backup, unfortunately...

    I have no idea what site you linked to, but this thread is basically for fun and if you want more info we'll do what we can. :D I know a couple of other sites out there that get into more detail and that have CODE writers and such but I'm personally NOT that smart and just like to keep it simple. ;)

    Karen you are so harsh.... hehehe. :)

    Hel-lo... ;)

    Here's my first falcon burn scan. Didn't let it continue the jitter test, because it was going extremely slow, and making funny sounds. I don't wanna hurt my new lite-on o_O It was doing pretty well til the layer break...
    4X Falcon shiny silver(almost resembles a mirror LOL)

    @omega,

    For a first burn of that media, that's not all that bad. I pitched the first 3 before the burns started to settle down.

    I'll watch the disc this weekend, and see how it does. The living room DVD player isn't too picky i've noticed. Although (something weird) it prefers burned single layers, to the industrial (Encrypted) dvds! Remember "Leatherheads"? And there have been other EXTREMELY encrypted dvds that it didn't like! Way to go fools! You encrypted them so badly, that legitimate dvd players can't even play them properly!

    If that was one of mine I wouldn't hold out much hope for it unless all 3 of those PIF peaks hit blank spots on the disc.

    ahhh, but i've also noticed that both the LH20A1S and the LH20A1H are very critical when it comes to scanning. They notice things that other burners don't If I scan with the iHAP422, it would probably not even reach those peaks... I'd scan it right now, but my iHAP is in another rig at the moment.

    Well isn't this funny. Imgburn failed to burn a disc, but nero went right on trucking! Imgburn said that it couldn't lock the drive for exclusivity, but Nero burning rom didn't have a problem. Although there was a long pause, like the drive has a problem. Weird...

    Whoops! Dvdfab was running in the background ;)

    Well...my LH20A1H is gonna remain "the reigning champion." It's sata counterpart (LH20A1S) failed to read a disc, that the LH20A1H could read. It's a fairly rough looking disc. It's gonna break my heart when she fails LOL! ;)

    Darnit! Jumped the gun on that one. Looks like the LH20A1H found another spot it didn't like. Looks like its going for a buffing.
