Here's a scan I meant to post, and forgot! LOL!! I just started doing multiple burns using Nero Burning Rom 8 Micro. Works like a charm! I wish someone had custom firmware for the 7220s, but no one appears to have anything but the stock 1.01 firmware. Does anyone know what model LiteOn the 7220s is? BTW! rick5446 has been converting BlueRay DVDs for a while now. I don't know if he's burned any BDs yet, but I'll ask! Happy Holidays, Russ
Look at this link... linky Russ go to Post #60 and see what this guy says... you'll have to find the f/w and flash utility to be able to "cross-flash" your drive... hth!!
i know Soph does bluerays, im not sure if he does the actual blueray backup or converts tehm to be put onto a dvd5/dvd9 disc. i think he has said it takes him about 3-4 hours to do a blueray disc. i dont know if i would have the paitence to do that..lol i know fora fact i would need another system if i was to go that route.. lol Russ the 7220 is a liteon ihap 322/422 model.. ide/sata from what i have seen the 7220 has the mediatek chip in it but thats it. my 7220 drive is so quiet its unreal.. my liteon 20A4P is now sounding like a helacopter landing..lol
Rob, I'll check that out. These defective -R Verbs that I bought are about 25% bad. Some fail the burn, some will only play in the Burner that made them, some show no particulars in Nero, but just blank spaces. The Ridata "Eco" DVDs I bought are the stupidist idea I/ve come across in a long time. No one ever thought to put a place for a label! There's no Title or information lines at all. Hard as hell to see when you do use a marker to write on them! Now I know why they were so cheap! LOL!! Happy Holidays, Russ
tbh i think my 20A4P is dieing on me.. it is getting louder and louder. and sometimes when i put a burnt disc in it. it shows in nero cd/dvd speed as a DVD-RW and wont play in that drive. i take it out and put it in another drive and it shows it as a DVD+R booktyped to DVD-ROM and playes fine.
OH GOOD LAWDY!!! You trying to start a fight?? lol. He's a true PATRIOT I'm sure!! NO commy-pinko-PHAG!!!! ROFL. Sorry to hear about your drive Robert... I'm sure you can afford to get another drive of some sort.
@gman you called him a RED. Oh that's pobably a Cincinatti RED Leg, Never mind! Almost as bad- sorry Rob LMFAO! It's the alcohol!
Here's a little burn, with my new BD-Rom/Dvd burner. I didn't buy it to burn dvds, but I was curious. Not too bad considering it's 2nd burn. I didn't scan the first, but since it's a lite-on... 12X Verb +R I read somewhere that most of the new Bd-Roms and burners are not good at high speed dvd burning. Looks like 12X is O-K though. I'll try a TYG03 later. Those usually fair a little better than the Verbatim's of late!
greensman, Rob's turned the other check. He knows Santa is watching. And does NOT want coal in his stocking or milk spilled into his dvd burner trays!
Well...it was almost the best lite-on burn on a tyg03. At least for MY scans Looks like 8X might have faired better. Quite a bit of erratic buffer behavior. As I said though, this is just my BD reader. My precious LOL! 12X TYG03 iHES108-29 I suppose 8X could have been worse though. 8X is a near constant speed compared to 12X which is gradually increasing throughout. (Different write strategies).
@greensman Yeah, ZOSO already called me out for using DL discs for really good movies, instead of just using DVD Rebuilder and compressing it. I think it was in the media sales thread. LOL Sam's does sell 50 2.4X Verb DLs MIcode? (I didn't check) for $59.99!
Here's a small DL burn and not to bad... watched it all the way thru. It's Snow White and of course the little girl loved it!!! Burner: AD-7200S @ 8x Media: RICOH D01 (Falcon) Engine: ConvertXtoDVD 3 (IMGBURN?) You can see the reader.
I think they're MIT but if they are MIS I'd jump on them buddy.... just like a Cajun on a Crayfish!!!
Now that football season is winding down, it's becoming crawfish season. Boiled ones are already on sale for $4 a lb. Tail meat just around the corner, if the monsoon turns off. Water, water, everywhere; nor any drop to drink!
