well here is the first burn. not to good not to bad.

got up thismorning went to do another burn and i keep getting this error???WTH?

it wont recognize anything now ive put in original disc and it wont even see them???

not sure what happend? i just reflashed it again. did the dump.bin and all. it reflashed and is now working. i think last time once i flashed it i didnt restart it right away. i hit the bitsetting button in binflash first and then restarted. this time i just flashed it and restarted like said to do and now it sees disc and am scanning on it now. not a burn it did thats next just to make sure it works.

Which burner burned it? How old is it? Is your Hard Drive Files Fragmented? How fast did you burn the disc? If it were my burners at 16X, I would probably trust that burn. There are a lot of factors to consider :)

Just got my new Verbatims MCC 004's from officmax online. I couldn't resist that deal ;)

Well...I hate to say it, but MY LG burner sucked! It read discs ok, but burning was not good. I gave it to a buddy, I think he still uses it. I believe it was a LG-GH22NP20. It had similar scans. was a noisy little thing too. at least at high speed burning. Plus it had riplock...

ok i dont have the scans to post right now as im at work. but ive done 5 of them now since the new rig has been put together. and 4 of them have been on the new 7240 and 1 on the 7220 a.. of them at the 0.5 mark get this hellabad spike i even burnt the same file same speed on the same type of disc on each of the drives and at the same spot around the 0.5 mark it jumps up. this is what im talking about. same scan as the one i posted above.

anyone got any ideas on this one. im wondering if its the transfer from the"sata controler"

Rob maybe it doesn't like the MC003 verbs-great media. It does fine with my MC004s.

    @bigwill

I still have an external LG 2166D that will out read any burner I've had for stubborn discs with scratches or age issues.

    Doesn't surprise me GARmoonY. ;)

There was an LG that everyone coveted a while back that would read anything and it was a real treasure in the console arena. ;) I think it was the GSA-4163, anyway LG makes some good stuff just NOT all of it is great.. NOT unlike other companies. ;)

It simply left a bad taste in my mouth(So to speak). Once upon a time, I did not like turkey stuffing. In fact I despised it. I opened up and actually like it now ;) I will give LG another shot one day. As well as Eh hem, intel...<-- spoken highly rapidly, so as to not be heard, then runs and hides behind a wall...

it was burning the MCC003's just fine up until i did the swap out of everything. well the new drive wasn't in the old rig,but the 7220S was and since in the new system it gets the same spikes around the 0.5 mark.

i am burning a TY 8x-r on it now. actually scanning it it hasn't spiked high at the .5 mark but does have alot of pie's. the pifs look good. ill post once done with the scan

    OM7 you'll see the light...lol joking buddy.

    edit to add:
PIF's look great take that all day long but the PIE's are a little high. the spike is gone..lol doing another burn now. but im gonna take the burn speed up. maybe 12x and see how she acts. maybe on this HIGH SPEED system i have now i might need to get off crawl speed of 8x and start burning @12x...lol

I seriously doubt that Oman7 will switch after he reads the PC building thread... lol. ;)

Robert that looks more like media or f/w "issues" than burner "issues".. I think the burn is ok and the disc will play fine.. I bet lots o CASH on dat one. :)

You should have the f/w for "over-speeding" as well. I'm betting your burns look almost the same with 12x. :)
