    Does Nero cd/dvd scan work on windows 7 x64? I've tried it on both my burners and each time it works except the disc quality shows nothing and the option start is greyed out.The scan disk works just the disk quality option doesn't.Also there isnt the TA Jilter option.
    version 4.7.7.16

    if i remember correct, LG's aren't supported by the cd/dvd tool. thats the reason the start button is grey'd out. if your wanting to do a scan with those drives try dvdinfopro it should let you scan just fine.
    here is a link to it. it has a 14 day trial period. you can see if you like it or not.

    Prodisc = Verbies...

    See now, that's exactly why I may not buy verbatim for a while now. At least with TY I know what the heck I'm getting! Unfortunately, TY doesn't do any branding on their discs. I don't like their silver lacquer discs, because they finger print WAYYY too easily. Which is why I like their Silver printable discs. If you've not tried them, I recommend them. They're very awesome! :D

    You don't need ASPI installed do you for it to work on windows 7?

    LOL.. it's NOT quite like that Oman7. Mitsubishi Chemical Corp (MCC) outsources to a few different plants and it just happens that CMC MAG and Prodisc are a couple of the plants that they use in Taiwan. Said companies make discs using MCC's specs and dyes... So they are really MCC discs but made by other plants. Of course they have plants in India, Malaysia, and China me thinks.. I might be wrong but my memory isn't that great at times. :p

    IT should already be there but you can d/l it from many sources on the net and install yourself. ;) Nero I think has a d/l for it on their website. :)

    I DON'T know ANYTHING about Win7 yet.... getting ready to learn more about it or Linux... can't decide atm!! ROFL.

    Robert is correct btw... LG drives DO NOT support Nero DQ scanning. ;)
