Optodisc R16 (Imation Branded) Burned nearly 4 yrs ago. I plan on watching it now. I'm pretty sure this was a flawless copy. Optodisc, NOW I remember LOL! This would have been burned on my NEC ND-3550A. Was good while it lasted. Probably at 4-8X. I was experimenting with 8X at the time. Hard saying which speed I used. I'll post a Philips Disc burn next
Heres a CMC MAG R01 Philips Branded. Not at all what I expected. It also occurred to me that the burner was beginning to read discs oddly before its failure. Audio video synce issues, as well as ignored read errors. Basically, the glitches I saw while watching the video, may have been due to read errors during rip, not write. I guess I'll never know LOL! This would have been burned at 2.4X by NEC ND-3550A. The max speed of the disc.
Just watched the FaceOff backup. Its a perfect example of why I abandoned dvd shrinks transcoding abilities Rebuilder just can't be beat. During the action scenes, there was substantial pixelation. At least on high definition displays. On a 27" tv, it looked fine
Will the 1.12FW for that is a newer one. the 1.03fw is whats factory with it. at least thats what ive been told.
Ho ho! Much better. When I bought my last batch of verbs, I bought 2 cake packages of them. This burned disc came from the second package. I haven't finished the first by a long shot, but I was curious. Looks like I may have a decent batch in the second. Guess I'll use the first batch for grade B movies 12X 7200S via imgburn
you was right RoBo 1.03fw was the First when it came out August,4th 2008 check fireware HQ's http://www.firmwarehq.com/index.php
Here's the second burn from the second batch. Not good. I found a light black splotch on the dye. Unfortunately, imperfections like this do not appear until the dye has been burned. On TYG03 I don't worry about things like this. But I don't know about these. 12X verb004
They're all the same Purple Taiwan batches. Most of my batches I buy at Officemax. However, the last batch I bought online through them. I'll likely go through a different place next time though. An attempt to avoid the bad batches
I just love the volcano scan with the beautiful yellow to orange cone with the towering blue ash cloud above. Are you wearing your burners out scanning with them? LOL
I sure do believe it's the dye these days there using something is sure wrong with it or they using a cheaper brand mixed
