got a couple comparisons here...one is scaned with cd/dvd speed 4.7.5.0 the other 4.7.7.15

    4.7.5.0

    4.7.7.15
    not alot of diffenrence overall.
and the 4.7.7.15 does show the drive in the disc info part not the quality scan.

almost the same identical scan. thats a rare thing in itself 2 back to back scans being the same. only a couple points difference.

Hey greenie is that the drive you cross flashed from the LH-18A1P to the LH-20A1P? nope its the sata.
i know on the newer versions of the QC they have problems reading the jitter for the liteons.its supose to fix that so they can read jitter. but i think what might be your problem there is that your doing hte scan @8x i cant get a jitter test to show unless i do the scan @ 4xgive that a try and see if it works for ya.

dang ya had to go and get some of them 8x+r digital media huh? ;)

well with the help of a local guru here ive been able to figure out dvdrebuilder and cce. did my first successful rebuild lastnight.took 141 mins to complete, and burnt it onto a 16x+r printable verb and am watching it right now.
its a older movie remastered to todays spec. and it looks just lke the original movie
heres the scan of it...and yes i went back to nero 4.7.5.0 version for scanning.

Rudolph and Frostys christmas in July

here is a screen shot of dvdrebuilder working it magic..lol
    DVDREbuilder

Congrats on the DVD RB and CCE progress. ;) Me likes that progie..

Did some burns and scans last night on the AMD system. ;) I'm pretty impressed with these results and with this media too. o_O

them MCC 02RG20 seem to like you... cant say the same for me..

just did another DVDrebuild. titanic i used RI4M to rip to hard drive then ran through DVDrebuilder. check this stat out. the first one i did above took 141 mins on a 3.9gb movie.
titanic is 6+gb and only took 112 mins. cant wait to get that E8400.cut that down to about 45 mins..lol im doing the scan right now will post it when done.

here it is hot off the press...lol

Rob I may be missing something here but why are you compressing the "image" down to 3.5GB?? If the "ripped" image is less than 4.7GB then just burn it to disc. :p Just asking and trying to figure things out. ;) I would think that keeping it as close to 4480MB that you can would give you the best viewing image available. Like I said I may be missing something. :p

i honestly dont know why its done like that.
i used RI4M to rip the disc to my HDD then used dvdrebuilder. and it compressed it down that much. im guessing you dont need dvdrebuilder unless its a dvd9.. like i said im just learning this program...lol
i might be missing something here. i dont know

When RI4M rips it to the HDD what is the size of the file? If under 4480MB then there's no need to use DVD RB Pro. If you want to take out crap you don't want you can use VOBblanker or something similar. I normally do that anyway cause I despise the GOV warnings and most of the other stuff........just give me the movie!!!! hehehe. :p

Oh there's no doubt you're missing something. :p I just drove to 2 different WallyWorlds looking for something I saw on the online website and it said they were in STOCK!!! BUT I failed to see the ONLINE ONLY posted right next to the item..... Man I'm sicker than I thought I was. :D

well lets see. the first disc of titanic was 6.3gb which i see it had to compress that to get it to fit to dvd5.the second disc was just a touch over the 4.4, it was 4.78. so it didnt really have to compress it that much, but it did took it down to 3.9 i think it was allmost a whole gig it shrunk it.at this stage of the game. i dont mind it doing that just for the fact i want to mess with it and learn alittle bit. but it does seem odd it compressed it that much. more than it really had to. think if i got something that has to have 20% compression or more i will use DVDreb. anything else im sticking with clonedvd2 or dvdshrink..

im all out of stuff to rip and burn right now might find something and redo it just to play around...lol

now you know the wife works at wally world here, what is it that your looking for she might be able to find it for ya....

Rob is sounds to me you removed an audio stream and didn't know it or DVD RB removed it for you and again you didn't realize it. ;P Just my thoughts there.

Oh I was looking for a "cheapy" GPU for now. I think my BFG 7600GT is TOAST.... :-( WallyWorld had one I wanted them to match for $40 BUT it was ONLINE ONLY. I didn't see that last night and went to 2 different ones at 10pm sick I as am LIKE an IDIOT.... OH I feel better.....NOT!!!! lol.

maybe i did remove something cause when i used RI4M i choose movie and menu only so id say it didnt rip everything.

man i didnt know wally world sold puter parts..just went to there site and found all kinds of GPU's lol

i got some avi files that i converted and join'd together to make 1 disc i might try running that in DVDreb to see how it looks afterwards.
