    Hey Robert!! :p

I really think you should consider one of the Pioneers!!! They perform really well and I've had excellent luck with them, you could even look at the LG 62 series drive. SATA and a pretty good performer as well.

    MCC 02RG20
    ncfom LG burn
^^^^ for some reason there is a single large spike at the beginning. I normally discount those and the disc seemed to play just fine. ;) Very seldom do I get these spikes with this drive. :D

    Sweet scan Rob,
One quick question, do you notice a difference in quality between CloneDVD2 and DVDRebuilder? I have a 32" TV (Non Hi-Def) and I really can't tell the difference. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to rip, transcode and burn using DVDRebuilder, but only 30 minutes using CloneDVD2/AnyDVD. Any comments?

    blivetNC,
I don't think you will see much difference on that size TV UNLESS the source you're "shrinking" is sizable to start with. ;) I have a QUEEN DVD that I like the entire "dvd" but it looks like CRAP without using DVD RB Pro or burning to a DL disc (original source is over 7GB). DVD RB Pro just "shrinks" it better because of the "encoding" that it uses. jm2c I know but that's how I see it. ;)

If you're getting GOOD results with your methods or NOT using/starting with a HUGE file to begin with I don't think you can go wrong using DVDClone2 or one of the other "shrinking" progies out there. ;)

Sorry rob, I hope that I didn't step on ye toes.... ;D

    no you didnt Chas..lol
    @BlivetNC
i also have a 32in tv not HD or nothing...i cant tell the difference in clone to dvd-reb. i know what ya mean about dvd-reb takeing long. took about 3 hrs on my old system but now 40-50 for a 7+gb movie...

myself clonedvd2 is #1 for me. dot get me wrong dvd-reb is a nice program if you need alot of compression, but 10-20% im useing clonedvd2.

your system sound identical to my HP and the same times.
    i did a 4.5gb movie today with clone and it took 14 mins...man i love this C2D

OK, you'll have to do some research or start another thread like you said. ;)

I know there are KVM's that will fit that bill but they're about $100 or so. :) BUT you won't be able to transfer stuff. ;)

I still think you can set up a "network" with a router and do what you want to. Do some checking. :p

I've been testing some of the f/w on the drives that I have with the Verbatim Digital Movie DVD-Rs and they seem to perform ok, the drives and the media. :D

ok im totally amazed now. ive got my 2 puters hooked up with networking. kinda half azz'd(did it myself)
ive Dl'd a avi on my HP system. i open'd the fill on the new build and converted it with convertxtodvd. then i burnt it with clonedvd2 and got this scan. it not a super scan but it is pretty damn good for the original file being on one computer and burnt on another after conversion...lol
