You trying to start something Mr.???? Over-rated is such a strong term.... They work well and bit-set but I've had ZERO problems using DVD-R.... I think it's my parents stand alone DVD player that "dislikes" the DVD+R discs, so they get the DVD-R discs when backing up movies. I do believe the Good Doctor had an issue like that as well. ...gm
Zo, I'm just jackin with ya!! Thought I would add some scans since this is what it's about!! ijtod RITEKF1 LG-NS10 drive 1st burn 12x ijtlc RITEKF1 LG-NS10 16x rev RITEKF1 20A3P 16x eragon MCC 003 20A3P 16x ...gm
no problem lol I just think people get to hung up on the DVD dash R vs the DVD plus R ,I think alot of people think just because they say plus they have to be better. whats way more important it that you use a quality brand like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and use good burning practices, speed, software and process other factors ,using quality drives/burners, burning on a clean machine and not interfering while your in the burning process
LOCO you're wrong, dash is the correct term not minus http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=773951&page=4
ok been doing somw scans in between grass cutting yard work Budweiser stops ect... i did the dvd pro and nero both are about the same. Dvd Info Pro 1 Nero Dvd Info Pro 2 Nero 2 got a couple more to show. will post them later B double E double R UN
Zo you can use the term "minus", it's ok.. Just remember that "the detractors and noobs" are the ones using that term... hehehe. Rob you been busy on your "old" machine?? I thought you were still waiting on parts and such. ...gm
yep i had to call up the HP system from the minors while BRM is on the DL..lol the LH-160P6S is still a great burner.. wish i had another..lol
trust me ive thought about that..lol hey take a look at this over in your thread. been doing some research http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/558703/4041026
got one here. this is a conversion to video_ts not bad i think considering what it is. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk273/cincyrob/NPC.png
Like you said... NOT bad for what it is... IIRC the SHW-160P6S is a little more "harsh" in reading the scans than the A1X series. So if you get a good read with it then you're doing something. You find any movies lately that are purchase worthy?? Been on the hunt but it seems the little lady isn't saying yay or nay on much.. of course P.S. I Love You is on the list.... Better get to me nearest Wally-World and pick it up. ....gm
heck actually ive been loking around next month there is gonna be alot of good movies out. well ones i think are gonna be good. the eye honeydripper fools gold jumper meet the spartans the spiderwick chronicals superhero movie vantage point and of course my fav. witless protection with larry the cable guy..lol a couple are due out in the first week of july but most the first 2 weeks of june
Don't forget National Treasure 2 (Family) and for the wife Mad Money. Just remember if you back up a couple of Chick Flicks you gotta clean out the drive and the system with a good clean movie, like 300, Blackhawk Down, or A Clockwork Orange. Prevents your system from having one of those "moodswings". I recommend the 2007 Red Sox Championship Season Highlights for my buddy in Cincy, pushes away those early season blues. By the way, my P160 sticks from time to time upon ejection, anyone have any ideas?
A good blow job might help... If that doesn't do the trick you might need to look at some sort of "grease" for the eject tray mechanism... Other than that a NEW drive will fix those "sticking" problems... heheeh. ....gm
I did buy a new drive a while ago, the 160 is connected via USB 2.0 and use it to rip from time to time.
blivetNC, Whatever you do don't do "The Sound of Music"! The mood swings become permanent then! LOL!! On the drive not ejecting all the time! Question! Does you case have spring loaded doors for the optical drives? If not loosen up the screws that hold the drive or release the tooless lock if you have that type and see if it ejects. I've seen that before! Best Regards, Russ
