That's just wrong Russ!!! The Sound of Music is a great movie and smooth out anything that ails you... ;) NOW if you really wanna give your system a boost... try "Mary Poppins" and see what happens.. :)

Blake Edward's S.O.B. is one of my favorite Julie Andrews movies, aside from her being topless, it's hysterical to boot.
I've pulled the drive apart and I think it is something in the gears, perhaps worn or out of alignment, sometimes have to poke the emergency release with a pin.

You must have a particular drive in mind.

    linky

Unless you were talking about just a reader, then you are correct.

    hobbit112,
I've been using Optiarc drives since the NECs were NECs and then switched to Optiarc. The only issue I ever had was with the AW series, and that was because they looked very cheap! I've sold a ton of them and only had one go bad, and that was mine after the PSU went south! LOL!! They are all I use for my customer builds unless the customer wants something specific. I like the price, quality and performance I get with them!

    Best Regards,
    Russ

    cincyrob,
Just be warned, the F16s are terrible! My last 100 Ridatas had about 20 of them mixed in with the good ones and they stink! 6 coasters out of the 20. The R03-004s I had before were much better. Ridata, which is very close to where I live, replaced them for me. That's why I switched to the Verbs! I don't get coasters, ever! The only ones I've ever gotten were when I burned when it advised me not to, although I did get that same error message when I made a back up of "The Golden Compass", and that turned out OK. I had to also change the name of the directory for the rip as it wouldn't create the folder because the title has syntax errors so it can't create the folder as the title name. Just create your own named folder (any name) and manually tell the program where to store the rip and it works fine!

I've never had a problem with those Riteks, even though I normally use the Verb or Sony disks. Thanks for the link Rob.

Well I got screwed!! Didn't get an email, didn't get a coupon, didn't get anything but open air internet! NOW I'll get emails spamming my account, mail to my address, and stuff I don't want. :p

J/K ... Guess their email is running slow or something went awry!!

Just did a scan with KProbe and all seems well. I want to do a Jitter test but don't remember where it is with KProbe if there is one. Sorry a little slow today. ;)

OH crap.. forgot about this post.... lol. Been writing it for about 2 hours now.. lol.
