Well I just checked to see if mine was bitsetting, and it's NOT... hmmmmmmm. This may be the first burn with a DVD+R on the AD-7200S. ;)

Used a MCC 004 and it seems to be scanning ok... NEED to find out what's going on with this f/w. WILL report back!!

Just d/l Liggy's 1.05 f/w for the AD-7200S and it's bitsetting to DVD-ROM. I'll see what I can find out about the 1.06 f/w. Seems strange to me that it wouldn't bitset.... /me scratches head..

    I'll post a scan or 2 in a bit. ;)

i got 1.06 fw to booktype. go int onero cd/dvd speed and in the extra tab at the bottom there is a bitsetting tab. click it and adjust what you want and then it will bitset.... i tried a create disc with nero and it worked then i used clone dvd2 and it also worked.
heres a scan of the clonedvd2 burn

I don't have any problems with 1.06 booktyping...

Are you actually setting the booktype in Binflash?

where did you get binflash from loco?
i had to DL something else to get it to flash for me? well something that i could understand.
when i DL the FW flash it didnt have a installer with it

    EDIT.
never mind i did that..lol but i also did the same thing in nero
    EDIT again:
just used dvd-rebuilder on the spiderwick chronicles. thats a pretty big movie.movie and menu 6.35gb i riped out warnings and such sillyness. 2 passes grand total of 41 mins... that is so sweet.. ill have the scan with the new NEC shortly.
    EDIT Again:
been messin with the 7200s. doing the scans it has the same scanning as the Benq's. plus you can choose the intervels it scans at 8ECC or 1ECC. ive found that @1ECC it will have the same standards as the liteons do.well maybe not the same but right along the same lines at them.doing the scan now of that dvd-reb job.

I'm a frikkin idiot!!! Sorry RedRob, there's your answer... I don't know where me brain has been lately but I've been OUT THERE for about a week now. I'll pull it out of the dark and have it cleaned for good measure. lol.

What's strange is that Liggy's 1.05 f/w auto bitset right off.... hmmmmmmmm. Well back to the 1.06 version and then to the "burning" board. :D

Hey got some scans for you to look at. :) Got the RITEKF1's and RicohJpn-R03's for $7.99 each 50 pack. :) The MCC 004's are MIT and the old packaging. ;)

All burned at 12x with imgburn on the AD-7200S. ;)

I just did this scan. The first one at 10x is fine, the one at 8x is also good too. But the 4x is a "Horror Show". Can anybody explain why. Same drive, same disk, but still it's a 0!

    10x

I know it says Maximum for the 10x but the highest it goes with this media is 10x. Different media will let me scan at 16x. Don't know why!

    Best Regards,
    Russ
