    Not only did I use sticky labels - I used crap media too!!

    I have one (probably more than 1) that locks up my drive - Princo and a sticky label- still plays though and is a few years old. One of the ones I haven't gotten around to redoing.

    @ BlivetNC.
    that little trick worked that cover just rolled right off the disc.i tried it at work lastnight and let my buddy take it home and try and rip it. havent found out if he could rip it but he did another scan on it and got a possitive number on it. granted it was only a 23 but looked way better than the first one i did.

    I did it w/ CloneDVD and AnyDVD - movie only keeping the menu & 1 audio - only 20% compression (80%).
    Tons of previews and audios on it.

    @Binkie7.
    not as bad as i thought it would be for compression. pretty good... which audio do you keep?

    I kept 5.1 - shows in Clone as English Dolby AC-3/6.

    Yeah I thought the compression would be more too - but after removing the audios like I usually do and doing movie + menu wasn't bad.
    The only extras on disc one are previews.

    You do have it in, [bold]Shiney side down?[/bold] (JK)
    Will it play in your stand alone player? Sometimes wiping it down with a lens cloth and lens cleaning fluid does wonders for a dirty disk.

    [IMG]
    i dont know why i am haveing these problems with certain disc. are they putting extra copy protection on certain disc of the same name?
    it should have not take 2 1/2 hours to do a movie.
    the second disc only took 30 mins i guess went through shrink with it.

    @Cincy.....You have a typical TYG03 scan on the Davinci Code second disk. I do get about 93-95 score though. Although you got more PIOs and PIFs than I usually get now. Why this happens with the -R media and not the +R media I don't know... must be the difference between the two. YUDEN000T2s give me better scores than 95 and I decided that after about 60 more of the TYG03s I will only use the Taiyo Yuden +R media! They seem to be the best!

    Your 2 1/2 burning of a DVD is caused by reading errors ........ make sure you didn't slip into PIO mode!
